Chantal has had a passion for dance her whole life. She began her training locally, completing A.D.A.P.T. exams in Tap, Jazz, and Ballet. After several years of assisting, she became a certified A.D.A.P.T. instructor in Tap and Jazz, graduating from the three-year Teachers Training School Program in 2004. In 2005, she founded Starz In Motion to create a dance school that offers professional and recreational training in a fun, welcoming environment. The studio has grown steadily and remains a major source of pride for Chantal, who considers it her greatest achievement. She is also fully bilingual and looks forward to another exciting season with her students.

ACRO, JAZZ, TAP

Jessica began her dance journey at the age of three in St. Catharines, ON, and has since amassed over 17 years of experience in various dance styles. A competitive dancer in both Canada and the United States, she achieved the honor of being selected as a member of the Canadian National Tap Dancing Team. Jessica’s dedication to her craft took her to Germany, where she competed at the International Dance Championships and proudly earned a gold medal. In addition to her dance achievements, Jessica is also a former Hamilton Tiger-Cats cheerleader. She has recently completed her first year in the Acrobatic Arts Acro Certification Program, further expanding her expertise.

BALLET, POINTE

Miss Conchita is a highly respected ballet instructor at Starz In Motion and a certified Royal Academy of Dance teacher. She is also the Founder and Director of Ballet de Veracruz, School of Dance. We are thrilled that she chose to relocate to Canada in 2018 to share her immense talent and expertise with our dancers. Before joining our team, Miss Conchita was a dancer with an independent dance group in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico, where she trained under the renowned First Ballerina Alejandra Martínez of Ballet de Monterrey. We are incredibly grateful to have her as part of our faculty and are excited for the impact she continues to make on our students.

Dorian has been a dance instructor in Pembroke since 2016, bringing over 13 years of competitive dance experience. He has competed across Ontario and Quebec, earning numerous awards, high scores, and scholarships. Starting at the age of 4, Dorian has completed exams in Ballet (RAD), Tap (ADAPT), and Jazz (ADAPT). He completed the ADAPT Assistant Teacher Program in 2014 and became a fully certified ADAPT dance teacher after finishing the three-year ADAPT Syllabus Teacher's Training Program in 2020. In 2021, he added the Alixa Flexibility Module 1 to his credentials. Dorian looks forward to continuing his journey of teaching, training, and performing in the dance community.

Miss Alexie began her dance journey at the age of 6 and joined our studio at 8 years old. Over the years, she has dedicated herself to mastering her craft, successfully completing numerous levels of A.D.A.P.T. exams in both Tap and Jazz. Her passion for dance is evident in her teaching style, where she combines strong focus with an engaging and fun atmosphere. Miss Alexie has a unique ability to keep her students motivated and on task while fostering a love for dance. Her dedication and energy make her a standout instructor and an integral part of our competitive dance family. We are incredibly fortunate to have Miss Alexie as both a teacher and a role model for our dancers, inspiring them to reach their full potential.
