OWNER/FOUNDER
TAP, JAZZ, LYRICAL,CONTEMPORARY, MUSICAL THEATRE

Chantal has had a passion for dance her whole life. She began her training locally, completing A.D.A.P.T. exams in Tap, Jazz, and Ballet. After several years of assisting, she became a certified A.D.A.P.T. instructor in Tap and Jazz, graduating from the three-year Teachers Training School Program in 2004. In 2005, she founded Starz In Motion to create a dance school that offers professional and recreational training in a fun, welcoming environment. The studio has grown steadily and remains a major source of pride for Chantal, who considers it her greatest achievement. She is also fully bilingual and looks forward to another exciting season with her students.

ACRO, JAZZ, TAP

Jessica began her dance journey at the age of three in St. Catharines, ON, and has since amassed over 17 years of experience in various dance styles. A competitive dancer in both Canada and the United States, she achieved the honor of being selected as a member of the Canadian National Tap Dancing Team. Jessica’s dedication to her craft took her to Germany, where she competed at the International Dance Championships and proudly earned a gold medal. In addition to her dance achievements, Jessica is also a former Hamilton Tiger-Cats cheerleader. She has recently completed her first year in the Acrobatic Arts Acro Certification Program, further expanding her expertise.

BALLET, POINTE

Miss Conchita is a highly respected ballet instructor at Starz In Motion and a certified Royal Academy of Dance teacher. She is also the Founder and Director of Ballet de Veracruz, School of Dance. We are thrilled that she chose to relocate to Canada in 2018 to share her immense talent and expertise with our dancers. Before joining our team, Miss Conchita was a dancer with an independent dance group in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico, where she trained under the renowned First Ballerina Alejandra Martínez of Ballet de Monterrey. We are incredibly grateful to have her as part of our faculty and are excited for the impact she continues to make on our students.

LYRICAL, JAZZ, HIP-HOP, MUSICAL THEATRE

Miss Marie-Ann has trained through the A.D.A.P.T. Tap and jazz Syllabus program and the R.A.D. Ballet program.  She has attended the A.D.AP.T. Teachers training and successfully completed exams.  Marie-Ann has an energy for her students like no other and is passionate about teaching children and adults alike.  She has over a decade of teaching experience and is thrilled to be part of the Starz family.

TAP, JAZZ, LYRICAL

Raina is a passionate dance educator trained in the A.D.A.P.T. syllabus and currently working towards full certification through the Teacher Training School (T.T.S.). With extensive teaching experience, she brings both technical knowledge and creative energy to every class, inspiring students to grow with confidence and joy in dance.

SALSA, BACHATA, KIZOMBA

Mr. Tommy has been enjoying the art of dancing for over a decade now.  He has experience in Salsa, bachata, kizomba and merengue.  He has taught at different venues across Toronto and Sudbury, and we are fortunate now to have him in the Ottawa Valley.  Tommy has performed as a professional dancer at many events, including "dancing with Easter Seals" in Sudbury and performing at "salsa Congress in Toronto".  He has also taught workshops and classes in many areas, including the Timmins Museum.  He is passionate about teaching and building community through dance and is excited to bring that energy to the Starz team.

Miss Brenna has a passion for dance and loves to share this with all her students.  She has excessive training in musical theatre and is thrilled to share this with her students.  Brenna is trained in A.D.AP.T. Tap and jazz and has successfully completed her Inter 3 tap exam and Inter 2 jazz exam.  She has also been trained in the R.A.D. Syllabus and has completed her advanced 1 ballet exam.  She teaches performance and skills and is thrilled to sharing her knowledge with her students.

ACRO, HIP HOP, TAP, JAZZ, CONTEMPORARY

Miss Céleste-Eve has been trained through the A.D.A.P.T.  syllabus and has completed her Inter 3 exams in both tap and jazz.  She is also trained in the R.A.D. Ballet syllabus.  Céleste-Eve has successfully competed in many dance competitions across Ontario and is excited to share her passion and knowledge of dance with her students again this season.

JAZZ, TAP

Miss Evaleigh is an accomplished dance instructor specializing in jazz and tap. She has successfully completed all her A.D.A.P.T. tap and jazz examinations and has extensive training in ballet, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, and acrobatics. A former Team Canada member, she proudly represented her country at the World Dance Championships in Germany. With numerous competition wins under her belt, she brings passion, experience, and enthusiasm to every class. Evaleigh is excited to share her love of dance and inspire the next generation of dancers!

JAZZ, BALLET

Miss Keanna is trained through the A.D.A.P.T. And R.A.D. Syllabuses.  She has a gift in sharing her passion of dance.  Miss Keanna has been trained at Starz in Motion and continues to take classes and examinations to pass on her knowledge to her students.  She has successfully competed in many dance competitions across Ontario.  We are thrilled to have her return to teach at the studio.

TAP

Miss Krista has successfully competed in numerous dance competitions and brings with her extensive teaching experience. Specializing in step dance and tap, she has developed a deep passion for sharing the joy of making music through movement. Krista strives to inspire her students by fostering strong technique, creativity, and confidence both in and out of the studio. She is thrilled to be part of the Starz team and looks forward to continuing to share her love of dance with the next generation of performers.

HIP HOP

Miss Mackenzie is a passionate dance instructor specializing in Hip Hop, with years of dedicated training in Hip Hop as well as Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Musical Theater. With a deep love for movement and expression, Mackenzie brings energy, creativity, and technical expertise to every class, inspiring students to grow, perform, and find their unique voice through dance.

ACRO, TOTS, BALLET

Miss Sadie has completed her Inter 2 A.D.A.P.T exams and is working towards her final level.  She has also completed her Advanced 1 R.A.D. Ballet exam and working towards advanced 2.  Sadie has been trained through the studio and has a passion for teaching young children.  She is excited to be returning for another season and ready to share her love of dance with her students.

With a strong foundation in the A.D.A.P.T. jazz and tap syllabus and the R.A.D. ballet syllabus, Miss Savannah brings both technical expertise and passion to every class. A skilled step dancer and seasoned competitor, she has showcased her talent at numerous dance competitions across Ontario. Dedicated to inspiring the next generation of dancers, Miss Savannah combines experience, enthusiasm, and a love for teaching in every lesson.
