COVID-19 Dance Update

Dance Parents,

We are currently within the third lockdown and in high hopes that this will not last long.  For the moment, all classes will be held online via zoom with links, IDs and passwords provided.  This will be updated frequently.   Our staff promises to deliver top quality training online.  There will be corrections, skill leaning and a lot of fun.  Please look at your email for links

When returned to the studio, changes made due to covid-19:

We have made many changes to ensure the safety of our dancers.

-  Separate entrances for each studio

-  Grid system on the floors to help dancers distance

-  Sanitizing machine sprayed in between each class

-  All dancers will put on hand sanitizer

-  Masks will be worn in the hallways, bathrooms and during class unless it is heavy cardio, then it will be dancers choice

-  There will be 10 minutes between each class to wipe and clean all areas including bathrooms

-  Each studio will begin classes at different times so dancers will not all arrive at the same time

Looking forward to another amazing dance season.  Please email for schedule information and to reserve your spot in a class

Directors Message

Starz In Motion Dance Studio was founded in August 2005. For me it was not only the realization of a lifelong dream it was also the opportunity to provide students of all ages with high quality training in a fun and supportive atmosphere, and we are very proud to be celebrating 16 years of dance in the Ottawa Valley.

We are a recreational and competitive studio.  For the serious dance students we do offer the chance to take their dancing to the next level with competitions throughout the year as well as offering A.D.A.P.T and R.A.D dance exams.

As the founder of this studio, many of my proudest moments are when the students can't wait to get back to the barre and get back to performing for many different audiences. It is extremely gratifying to see the appreciation on the faces of the audience, whether it is in a retirement home or a major showcase - it makes all the hard work worthwhile.

As director and teacher I have the reward of watching the students grow each and every dance class, not only in their skill level but in their self confidence as well. These are just a few of the reasons I love my job and look forward to everyday spent in the studio. I am grateful for my love of dance and for having the opportunity to share that with all of our dancers.

Our camp is designed for students who love to dance or want to get a feel for different styles and disciplines in dance, and beginners who would like to try out dance for the first time and find out what it’s all about. Summer camp is offered to dancers ages 6+.

Students start dancing at 10 am, break for lunch, then continue until 3 pm. The camp will include Tap, Jazz, Stretch, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, and Lyrical, Highland, Acro, and Ballet classes. Campers are able to attend any or all classes they wish to participate in.  This is an excellent opportunity for dancers to learn new disciplines and find out what they enjoy the most or for experienced dancers to bite into all that they love.

The date for the summer program will be confirmed at a later date due to covid-19 restrictions.  Many of our events are being reschedule in the summer however we will set dates asap.  Please contact us if you are interested in being added to our wait list to attend.

Cost of summer program:   $200.00 taxes included.
